Master in Computer Applications (MCA)  

Objective

A directly enrolled student will be awarded APGDCA after successful completion of first two semesters of MCA.

A directly enrolled student will be awarded M.Sc. after successful completion of first four semesters of MCA.

After doing this course a candidate can get the jobs of System or Database Administrator, System Analyst, Programmer, lecturer, website developer, etc. in government as well as private sectors.  

Eligibility

A candidate seeking admission to MCA 1st  semester should have three years Bachelor Degree in any discipline or Degree equivalent thereto from a recognized university.

However, a candidate who is APGDCA / APGDIT / PGDCA / PGDIT / ADIT from a recognized/ deemed university after three years Bachelor degree is eligible to get admission directly to MCA 3rd semester directly.   Also a candidates who have done DOEACC A level after graduation is eligible for admission into 3rd Sem of  MCA.

However, a candidate who is M.Sc. (Computer Science ) or Masters in Computer Science ( MCS ) from a recognized/ deemed university after three years Bachelor degree is eligible to get admission directly to MCA 5th semester directly.  

Course fee

Rs 10,000/-per semester inclusive of exam fees. In addition Rs. 500/- will be charged as one time registration fee.

Minimum - 3 Years (6 Semester);                      Maximum - 6 Years

Mode of Imparting Learning

Theory ( 30 hrs ) & Practical ( 30 hrs) classes per subject per semester will be held at the study centres on saturdays / sundays & gazetted holidays. The medium of instruction will be English only.
